About me

You can call me Fernanda.

Systemic psychologist and psychotherapist in San Luis Potosí.

To me, therapy starts before any technique: it starts when a person feels heard, understands what they're going through a little better, and can look at their story from a different place.

My work is to help you recognize the patterns, relationships and experiences that may be shaping what's hard for you right now, without reducing your story to a diagnosis or an isolated symptom.

How I understand therapy

What's happening to you doesn't exist apart from your story.

I work from a systemic approach. That means I don't look only at the problem that brought you to therapy, but also at the context it appeared in, the relationships around it, and the ways of responding you've learned over time.

A lot of what causes pain today once made sense at another point in our history. Understanding that can help us stop fighting the symptom alone and start building different responses.

Therapy isn't only about talking through what happened. It also means making sense of it, identifying patterns, and finding new ways of relating to yourself, to other people, and to what you're living through.

I don't work with isolated symptoms. I work with you, your history and the relationships that help explain them.

What you can expect from me

You don't need to know exactly what to say, or show up with every answer already worked out. My job is to help you sort through, understand and work with what brought you to therapy.

01

Listening without reducing you to a label

A diagnosis can offer useful information, but it never tells the whole story of a person.

02

Questions that help you see things differently

In therapy we explore not just what's happening, but when it happens, what triggers it, and which patterns keep repeating.

03

A process built around you

Not everyone needs the same thing, or moves at the same pace. The process is built around what you're actually living through.

04

Understanding that can translate into change

Understanding a pattern matters, but we also need to find different ways of responding when it shows up again.
